WASHINGTON(AP) - Craig James, benched early in the game after his seventh fumble of the season, came back to score two touchdowns to pace Washington to a 28-21 win over Los Angeles in only its third victory of the season.

James scored the winning touchdown on an 18-yard run with 6:28 to play before 9,792 at RFK Stadium.

After the benching, James returned to match his high for the season, gaining 90 yards rushing on 14 attempts. He scored his first TD on a 5-yard run with 7:35 left in the third quarter.
